:hu yeah, where are ya? I'm about to ask free about the detox diet. (She touched on the subject during the class I took from her. I was hoping to get a small three day detox going before Tgiving. Look for the thread in this section.) You might be interested in it as well.

I'm ok. been tryin' the WW thing again. I tried the low carb thing and I gained. I just can't get down that many veggies and I really like veggies. They are just so expensive, I just can't afford it. So, I'm tryin' the WW thing. yep, I remember being hungry most of the time. That's what I'm going thru now. Seems like all the fun has been taken out of eating. I'll be hungry, go to the fridge..... ok, I can eat celery, by itself, BORING.... I can eat an apple, a pear, a yogurt, ..... uhhggg...... never mind,...... I'll just go play on the computer. The hunger is still there, but the thought of eating has just lost it's splender.

but hey, splender is what's got me from a size 10 to a size 16.

last three days diet journal.
now, don't fall asleep....

Friday
coffee, 2 eggs, 2 slice high fiber bread
pear, 1 slice rye bread
ww meal (lasagna) a whole acorn squash
stir fry with chicken breast
tea or diet soda (mostly tea)

Saturday
coffee, 2 slices high fiber bread, 1 egg
pear
left over stir fry, slice rye bread
can of pumpkin, 2 slices HF bread, 2 slices turkey
air popped pop corn with butter

Sunday
coffee
2 eggs, 2 slices HF bread
yugurt
2 slices HF bread, 2 slices ham, bag of frozen mixed veggies
pear, string cheese
Big Sunday meal at friends house ( :he )

today
coffee
yogurt with bran flakes
string cheese pear
bunch of frozen broccoli, can of tuna, 2 slices rye bread

YAWN!!!!

remember though Okie that WW allows alot of freedoms as long as you stay in those points for you.

so be sure to eat variety.

I had too do this with LAWL. I can not eat only veggies and no other stuff...lol...I have to have it all and it works to have it all in balance.

So you be sure you open up the WW cookbook and make some delish meals that have taste and flavor but the healthier versions of those meals.

You will do it!!!

Once you detox again (like I had to do) that apple and pear become yummy again. Not the "oh no I can eat that and don't want it" syndrome..lol



Some things I did was I love alfredo. I sautee chicken with a little garlic, then get the jar alfredo sauce (cause I love a certain brand and enjoy the taste) and cook tons of broccoli. I pour the alfredo over the chicken and broccoli and eat tons of it. I am so stuffed I could die and it still fits my LAWL plan and I don't have to worry about spaghetti and those carbs.

Things like this work for me big time.

Any time I want tacos, I don't eat shells. I add tons of spicy taco meat on top of a monster salad. Again, I am stuffed, calories are contained and I get the taste I want.

This is what works for me. I know you did it before on WW and you will find that good balance again.

Snacks can't be "jacked" up much......but eat more variety. Berries are a good one and super healthy. Make a smoothie...yummy and a great snack.

You are not getting enough flavors. WW has a cookbook right? Go looking for some fun and flavorable meals!!!

remember it is not that we should restrict so much as it is to find that good flavor with healthier calories and lower calories in them!!

yep, I've even got two WW cookbooks, but I'm so bored with eating, I don't even want to open them.

I'll get out of my funk soon. I think last time I did this I had my mind in the right place and I was gung-ho. This time, I just did it with out being in the right frame of mind. got to get my mind to catch up with my ..... oh crap.... I dunno.... whatever.

seems like now I just eat something to keep the hunger at bay.

I hear ya.

thinking too much about food....gets old as with anything in life.

and yes, the second time around to hit a goal is never the same...the second gung ho is never like the first gung ho!! LOL

I know!!

I hear you on the expense! Dh was not
much interested in what I was eating ti he got a glimpse
of a one of my big salads, now he is on board to bump up his fruit and veg intake too. Now I think I may have also caught the attention of my 18 ur old...which is great, but we are going to be going thru a lot of produce!!!

I am all is well, and you know the saying....feelings follow action. Once you see some results you will get more enthusiastic 

Um.....am I correct in guessing you posted your food journal for opinions? If you were one of my students, I would point some things out. But you are doing ww, so I will wait for an invite to comment!
