In moderation, fresh is also fine.

I like them fresh. Well usually I toss them in the freezer now instead of the cupboard to wait. That does work very well. When they are under a buck a pound at H-Mart it's well worth getting some to eat all winter. We dont grow them here.

I prefer tart fruits for jams.

i don't think i've ever had any. like fresh figs they are something on my list to try sometime if i ever get a chance.
