I'm not sure if those really sound good or not. You should make some for me so I can give them a proper testing :D

She used to make some of the best stuff and can't for anything remember how to make it... you ask her ok how much do I add... and she says... ummm I just eyeball it... you know when it's the right amount... I'm like... NO Grandma I don't... I've never made it! hahahaha

I am the exact same way!!
I haven't learned yet how to make any recipe I read "by the book" work, so I have to eyeball my ingredients, and I get asked the same thing! My reply is "I DON'T know - just tweek the recipe for yourself, until you get it the way you like it." HAHAHA
My recipes sometimes taste different from the way the last time I made them.

I decided to make pot pies this week :D

beef pies:
pumpkin for thickener
root veggies
nice roast
chop it all up and sweet potato crust

chicken pies:
cream cheese for thickener
carrots and peas
whole chicken
ditto for the chopping and crust

sweet potato crust: mashed potatoes and shredded hard cheese (like parmesan). sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake.

i think i'll put them in individual pie pans... once they're cool, put saran wrap over and their lid and freeze them :)

eta: they're really good on almond meal crust or graham cracker :D almond meal for lower carb. mix the meals and lots of butter and bake before you add in the filling and then bake again with the potatoes.
OOOHHH - sounds good!
With my family, I'd have to make these while they are gone, certain ingredients, in their minds, don't mix. LOL
