I'm a memeber of paperbackswap.com (love this site)

anway, I have a chance to get this book, but it's the 1973 version. I'm not sure if I should wait and try to get a more updated version or if they are all basically the same.

any ideas?

I have the old 70's edition which I picked up at a library book sale about 12 years ago. If that book were in a sale today it would be snapped up in a second.
I still reference mine, FWIW.

I would prefer the oldest version possible. Lots of books eliminated some great stuff, like raw milk and eggs. No real ice cream recipes!! Just don't follow canning times, imo, for pressure canning. Too risky.

I'm on the wish list for that book...about 150 back in line. If you don't want it, mail it to me!

Everything except the canning advice will still be the same. I used to have that book and wish I still did. Grab it and don't let go.
