I copied that just in case. One of the reasons I got goats, is for the grand baby. There is a good chance that DD wont be able to breastfeed and stomach trouble runs in the family.

I may have posted this before ... but ... oh well ... here we go again

In 1914 my grandmother gave birth to a little girl, who only lived for a very short time. In 1916, pregnant again, she removed herself to her MIL's home in southern California, as the medical situation was better there. The neighbour had goats, and brought goat's milk over daily *for the health of the mother to be*, and *hint, hint, nudge, nudge ... you know, of course, that goat's milk makes twins*! At the appropriate time Grandmother went into labor, and produced a boy (my father) .... and, twenty minutes later, to the surprise of everybody, including the attending doctor, another boy!

So, just saying ... be careful with that goat's milk

(I've sometimes wondered, which was because of the goat's milk ... my father or my uncle?)

We don't have goats milk yet, still working on getting the girls preggers :p

But I think DD wouldn't mind if she ended up with two right now. Her pregnancy was so difficult, she isn't going to do this again, yet she really want's 2 kids.
At this point, they are looking on adopting a 2nd.

Yeah, my friend had a baby, bottle fed, and was out drinking 3 days later!! He's 6 months and she just had tons of plastic surgery to fix what pregnancy did to her.

*shrug* I think your body is more beautiful after kids. There are exceptions though :p lol. And why would you want to look like you did before? A 20 something bimbo? I don't get it. To me babies = turning point in your life.

I came across this recipe while searching for a friend. For those times when you just cannot nurse.

I went back & read the story of her explorations of formulas. That was a very, very touching story and I thank you for posting it. :hit and :celebrate

I *really* wish I had known about goat's milk when DS was born. He wasn't able to latch on and nurse and I didn't produce enough either. With pumping, I was only able to provide about half of his needs.
