Hi! wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice. I have paid a 50% of my wedding dress and am waiting for the bridal shop to order me a new dress in as the one i tried on was a sample dress. I still have the rest to pay when it arrives but my wedding is not until may and i take it my dress wont be at the shop at least till April as thats when my next fitting is. Im really worried as ive done nothing but think about getting another dress because im now getting married abroad and the shop assistant made out i needed a dress bigger than the size i tried on. Now i have just lost a stone and am worried about the seamstress cost on top of what i still have to pay for the dress. Its just not suitable right now as the budget has got even tighter. What should i do? I feel like she convinced me to buy a bigger dress so they could get more money out of me.

I see that this is your first post, so welcome!

I suppose there's no chance they will refund your money or even part of it? Even if you don't get it all back, it still might be worth it. You might be able to get a dress that you love that's less expensive and still come out money ahead.

I'm sure they wanted you to order the larger size as it's easier to take the gown in rather then to try to let it out. There are plenty of brides that end up gaining a few pounds over the course of a year.
