Can you repackage frozen meat? The 1/2 beef that we are picking up Monday was available immediately and at a bit of a discount due to another customer backing out. So it was already packaged and cut. The meat processor packaged everything in the vacuseal type packs and the ground in the sausage tubes. The naturopath said no more plastics on anything and the meat is already frozen. It's been in the plastic already for about 3 weeks.

Any ideas out there from the no plastics crowd?

You can probably get that plastic off and wrap the meat in paper, then put into ziplocs or cover with butcher paper. Butcher/freezer paper is coated in plastic, too. :/ I'm saving mylar bags from buckets of wheat and will wrap my pork in paper (I need to decide on newspaper or brown bags...need to find out what is in brown bags!) then wrap in the mylar to protect it from freezer burn.
