Lovin' The Homestead
Today ROCKED in terms of finances, I have been drowning and drowning and cant breathe financially anymore, I am sooo far behind on everything. I finally am getting caught up, but still only had $100 to last me two weeks. No problem for most people, but I have to drive to work/see my horse and I own a truck that takes expensive gas. *sigh*
BUT today I went to pay my BO board and I had sold her 3 bags of grain, which was $45, THEN she mentioned she needed more so I sold her all but one of the remaining bags of my grain!! So now I am up to $105
(Btw, this is locally made up north, 2 hours away grain lol, you have to go up there and buy it.)
I really needed stuff, so I went to Whole Foods and hit up the sales, got out under $48!! Then went to thrift store, for under $40 I STOCKED my kitchen full of much needed supplies, including a coffee maker!! 3 huge bags full of stuff, and most of it NEVER USED.
Then tonight we started cleaning my room out in my mothers house from when I was growing up....so far I have found $35ish dollars. And found a bunch of stuff I had boughten at Sur La Table and forgotten about!
I always forget about thrift stores, I grew up in/live in a wealthy town and my grandpa always gave me the best or shopped at the thrift stores for me. I have had a HARD time adjusting without him, I was grandpas spoiled girl. But now that I get all that for less then $40, bring on the thrift stores!!
