I've made it as well, but prefer a real German or Winnipeg Rye from my local organic bakery as mine is just ok. The recipe you've linked to has some unconventional ingredients for a "traditional' rye bread.

I do put rye flour into home made pizza dough and regular bread dough (just a cup) when I feel like it, same with oat, spelt, or occasionally corn flour just for something different :)

Traditional rye bread ingredients would be: yeast, water, butter, salt, honey/sugar, molasses, wheat and rye flours, carraway seed. The one in your link included veg oil and cocoa powder (perhaps for the bitter and some darker colour).
