We have a family member who is allergic to wheat, dairy, and eggs but can eat sheep cheese with no reaction plus we love lamb. Even though they are primarily a meat breed we are going to try our hand at milking and cheese hopefully with success. The turkeys were a breed I have wanted for a long time, out of all the heritage breeds they have been top rated in taste test many times and they are not so huge that they take up all your freezer space.

Congrats on the pretty sheeples!!! :D

And, yes, please send pics of the milking thingy....I had thoughts of doing something like this myself and is why I had built headgates that were sheep sized. They say the teats are hard to get a grip upon. I was thinking of that little hand milker thingy...says it fits all teats.

I simply love the manes on the St. Croix rams....makes them look so regal. :love

I love their manes too, I think if his papers weren't already pilgrim his name would have to have reflected how regal he does look. They were a little frazzled looking from wrangling them into the horse trailer but still so cute, but of course I am biased :D
