Super Self-Sufficient
This is an interesting user-friendly site that has little articles about modifying Ikea products in order to improve them or, more often, to adapt them to another purpose. Technically, the projects are generally pretty simple, and each article is illustrated with a pic. Some clever stuff.
http://www.ikeahackers.net/
Mostly for indoors and in-the-home, a bit for outdoors. This is similar to the MAKEzine site, except the MAKEzine projects often assume a fair bit of shop equipment and skills. These are generally easier.
Be aware that the site has been around for years now, and that there are archives - so there are a considerable number of ideas shown/explained in the site as a whole. The articles are also browse-able by categores like: accessories, bathroom, furniture, lighting, wardrobe, work station, etc. Look on the left of the page for these search options.
