Do you enjoy sitting on the sand or standing on a cliff and just looking at the beautiful ocean? Or, are you the type who just has to jump in and ride the waves or have a good old swim?

Closest thing I have is the Great Lakes. Jump in once and see how cold it is -- then you'll just enjoy the view and walking on the beaches.

I absolutely love the ocean! Doesn't matter where it is, either, but I kind of like the Golden Isles of Georgia a little more than the other spots.

Easy question for me... I don't know how to swim so watching the incredible ocean is what I like to do.

I'm not allowed on cliffs. I have this overwhelming urge to jump. But I love the ocean and I just jump in.

Oh my, Frankie, I hope you've never acted on that particular overwhelming urge!
My overwhelming ocean urge is to swim past the breakers and watch the waves hit the beach from the other side.

I have been to the ocean only once. I am much more comfortable sitting on the beach ans watching the waves roll in and out. I tried standing in the water but, since I have always lived land locked, found it a bit disturbing.

I think listening to it is almost as calming as watching it.

Yes Boardmaker, you're right!
We live a couple of miles from the ocean, and at night, we can hear it. I love to wake up in the middle of the night and listen to the waves. It's a great way to get back to sleep, lulled by the ocean.

You're very right... one of my favorite things to do is sit on the balcony when we're at the ocean and just listen. It's especially nice in the morning when the fishing boats are going out and dolphins are playing right before the sun comes up.

I hope you don't just "jump in" here on the east coast where the shark problem in certain areas is getting worse by the year! Swimming in a safe area is much better than being shark bait. And cliffs... no, I don't like cliffs at all.
