I have been up to my ears with sticky, gooey plums this morning. I have 7 trays of plums dehydrating, 8 cups of extra plum "pieces" waiting for the "Angry elves don't come to my Christmas, Christmas Plum Butter" recipe from PP.

I also have about 5 cups of juicy plummy pits. Can they be used in any way? I'm thinking wine or whatever, I do know they can't be eaten. :p

Is there a way to boil the "goo" off and make like a syrup? or add it to something and make fruit leather? Maybe add it to a sauce for a glaze? Just rollin the rock around :D

No need to be afraid as Keebler employs friendly elves, unless you try to copy one of their cookie recipes. I was gonna suggest you send me all those Christmas flavored treats to me for safe keeping but then I'd be afraid that you'd try to sneak black beans into them.

Just brainstorming here, I haven't ever done this. But I have read of covering the peels and cores of apples with water to make a weak "juice" and fermenting that into vinegar (reserving the "good" part of the apples for other uses). Maybe you could do something similar with the plum pits. Also, I would think that simmering them with a bit of water would cook off the bits of plum, and you could make a syrup from that.
