That was great!!!

Made me think of SO's nephew. Little Timmy was born with his cord wrapped around his neck. His parents were advised to institutionalize him and that he wouldn't live very long - 2 or 3 years at most. The parents brought little Timmy home and the family doted on him. We have lots of video of little Timmy at family functions. He lived to be 24 (I think). He died from swallowing a mouth swab at the nursing facility where he lived at the time. Caused by the neglect of the staff. (This wasn't the first negligent death for this place.) His father had died two years prior. His mother had to put him in a home, when she could no longer lift him to care for him. There was no money to get in home care, but the state did pay for nursing home care :/
We all loved little Timmy. "They" insisted that he was non functional. We knew better. We could communicate with him. He loved classical music.
Little Timmy is in a better place now.

I remember reading about them, too, and wondered if the son really enjoyed it. But, after seeing the video, I have no doubt. What an amazing father.
