Best descriptions of these 10 positive emotions that I've seen.
Joy
Gratitude
Serenity
Interest
Hope
Pride
Amusement
Inspiration
Awe
Love
Are you experiencing these on a regular basis? Ask yourself "When did I last fully experience this emotion?"

Put each of the ten on a sticky note. For the next ten days peel one off at a time and take that word with you wherever you go as a daily flourishing mission. Take the essence of each word and try to bring it out in others.
I thought I'd give it a try, it doesn't cost anything. I admit my dog provides several on a daily basis, especially amusement. :p

Thanks for such an uplifting post, Sylvie! No matter what is going on in the world right now, it's good for us to remember to really still have joy in life :)

Every day, Sylvie...every day! But then, I'm an emotional person! :p Great post! :thumbsup

I preach this all the time to my kids and everyone who ever comes to me asking how to be as happy as I appear to be. First, develop your relationship with God. Second, rejoice in it and feel the full gamut of emotions that come with it.....really LIVE the moment! If you aren't feeling these things on a regular basis....well, life just ain't worth livin', in my book! :)

That's great! I try to send up a little energy into the universe every morning with an affirmation that I should try to remember that day. If I'm feeling stressed about finances I remind myself to be grateful for the things we have. If I'm worried about some of the problems my kids have I remind myself to be proud of the things they've accomplished.

Joy
Most of the time....but sheer joy of something "new"---hmm for me.

Gratitude--all the time! I KNOW the people in my life make this happen.

Serenity--have a little thru faith of course, but serenity in general in life, NOPE (what to find more definitely!)

Interest....(used to have it when younger, need to find new interests)

Hope---YES have that every day

Pride---have that all the time in all I do and people I love

Amusement---kinda, I make some and enjoy some thru the critters and people everyday of my lfie

Inspiration---not much left I am sad to say...it can come from so many areas and I seem to be lacking in finding some

Awe---not in "awe" of much nowadays...in awe of the stupidity on this earth maybe.....awe of simple things does matter to me

Love---have it and give it daily... no lacking on that one! :)

Waking up each morning to feed all the animals and family brings me so much pleasure. I usually have a smile when I'm working out there in the garden and yard too.

This site also puts me in a fab. mood, everyone here is soo nice and it seems like we all have a grand sense of humor to boot.

My mantra is always "There is a reason for everything, bad or good." I have to tell myself this when something goes to h*ll in a hand basket. Looking back on my life I can see why everything lined up the way it did. I wouldn't be here!! And I dont even think it could get any better than this.

That is key.
Do what you love and enjoy doing it.
So many are not happy at all with their lifestyle....they feel trapped and lost and not fullfilled......those are the "unhappy" people for me.
BUT only the "person" truly has the reasoning to change their life....so each must find their own path.

intersting defintely! :)

I like your post!! :)

I am so totally agreeing with this post. I had a not-so-cool childhood and a really rough start to adulthood. You know how it is, you sit and wish that were some way out, that there were some way to make it all better but then you finally deal with it and move on. Yep, I'm so glad all that crappy stuff happened to put me right where I'm the happiest, luckiest girl in the world. Now when something bad happens I suck it up and start telling myself it's the beginning of some new adventure, a new path to someplace I never expected to see.

Right on Farmerlor!

I had the worst husband in the world, dont anyone try to compete y'all, you'll loose!! BUT somehow if it weren't for him :tongue I wouldn't have met the best guy of my life. Been together 11 years and still my heart goes pitter pat when I wake up with 'em. :love

My daughter was born with a heart defect and crappy lungs, but she keeps plugging along happily. I call her my arch angle--she is built like a tank, ready for war, her body takes a beating but she deals with it gleefully! I have learned a lot from her, again--a reason for everything. :clap
