True Blood Season Premiere

Did anyone see the new True Blood show that was premiered yesterday (Sunday)? I thought it was quite good. The new vampire teenager that Bill has on his hands looks to be a good story line. I'm not very happy where Lafayette is now. That's enough spoilers, I guess. Tell me how you liked it.

Is "Trueblood" television's answer to the teen vampire book series called "Twilight"?

We haven't seen it but the neighbor girl loves the book(s).

There is a series of books about True Blood's main character, Sukie. There are quite a lot of these books, but I don't know how closely the TV version follows them.
I'm reading the Twilight series as the girls in my group are just mad about them. I've read the first two, and really enjoyed them.
As to your question, here is the interesting thing about both Vampire stories:
Sukie loves Bill (the vamp) because he's the only person whose thoughts she can't read, and Edward (the vamp) loves Bella because she's the only person whose thoughts he can't read.
