been smoking for 18 years and im only 33

the local medical center here has a study for women smokers

i joined they pay you 400.00 in a 2 month period and give you chantix and the patch but one is fake and you wont know which one for free and pay for you to park in the city and pay for your gas but it seems that im getting alot more than 400 its more like 500-550

this is my second day with no cigs but i think tomorrow will be much worse as i was grinding my teeth quite a bit today

i have a feeling its the chantix because the nightmares and the dreams are just outrageous

:thumbsup for taking the plunge to quit.

My mil had great success with Chantix. In the study, are you getting the phone support program along with the drug or just the drug? That made a big difference for her.

Cheering for you to beat it! :woot

You go girl! You can do it! You can also check out "whyquit.com". It's been said the first 3 days are the most difficult and then again 2 weeks later. After that, it gets easier. As for eating everything-try veggies and lots of water or sunflower seeds with shells, something that's healthy and little or no calories and then go for a brisk walk.
Sorry, didn't mean to give such advise, I'm sure you probably know all this. But I applaud you and your efforts to quit. :clap I'm also kinda talking to myself and reminding myself what I need to do. I've been smoking for over 37 years, tried to quit a few thousand times, was successful once for about 4 months (was a fool to start again-over a man, sheesh). Anyway, this time I have cut my smoking in half, but I haven't let go yet.
So you have my utmost respect :bow and support :thumbsup
