Hello forum members, I have been asked to sandcarve a design into a 48" diameter glass top. The buyer is requesting a frame to support the glass be made from hockey stick shafts as it is a hockey theme table. The tabletop will sit barstool height, approx. 36". Hockey stick shafts are made from carbon graphite and are 1-1/8" x 3/4". I am asking for advice on design, making the joints very strong (i.e. type of joint, bonding material or any suggestion to make the frame strong. I usually just sandblast but would like to take on the challenge. I have most carpentry tools. Thanks in advance for any help members can provide.
