and I got stuck handling it. hmmm....

I get the "me and Nicole" are making breakfast, stay out of the kitchen.

Well everything is cooking, biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs ready to cook, pancakes ready to flip, bacon near done and I hear OW, OUCH----Tony burned his hand pretty bad but he will live. And then he pulls the "you have to finish"

UGH

I walk into everything cooking near done and got that "confused" where the heck am I in this meal situation...LOL

Everything was good and I just finsihed a million dishes a minute ago.
Feel the love huh? lol

Hope everyone is having a great Valentines Day

Well, the thought was there, right? I know the feeling, having to finish what someone else started :hugs I had to wait on the hotel lobby girl who was responsible for keeping everything full at the breakfast counter.....evidently her priority was making sure there plenty of slices of bread, completely ignoring the fact that there were no eggs (and she didn't have the forethought to have some ready for the refill ahead of time), and all of the coffee was empty. :barnie

Ah well, I get to do laundry today......hope yours gets better!

DH isn't going to make it home today :( he's been dispatched to Dallas so it's just me & the dogs. I had a fried duck egg with freshly baked sourdough and a sliced tomato from my garden. I had to cook breakfast myself cause the dogs don't have thumbs  Scooby had a raw chicken egg on top of his food, & Bella & Champ each had some Kefir whey drizzled over theirs.

The Wife just cooked us a delicious breakfast of fresh eggs, bacon and potatoes, all of which is either grown here or at my friends farm.
I did a boat load of dishes after she did the cooking, PLUS I cleaned up the rest of the kitchen as well!

TVB's...I know the feeling :hugs ....DH used to truck and was gone seemingly on all the holidays and I spent them with 4 dogs. And you're right...NO THUMBS! My mastiff was always good with the kisses though :love

SKR8PN....I think my DH is allergic to dishwater. He loves to cook but seems to have a bad aversion to the sink, especially when dishes are in it! :gig

Hope the rest of your Valentines day goes well. I'm sure it irked him to have to be away. I'm jealous about the " freshly baked sourdough". :drool Guess I better get some starter going again.

Thank you DL! No, he isn't happy that he won't get home today - this is our first V-day as a married couple. But that's ok, really it is. We're one of those "lovey dovey everyday is Valentine's Day couples" that alot of people find disgusting
I AM excited for him to get home though - our v-day gifts to eachother this year are our raised garden beds - and we can't wait to build them and fill them with last years compost & rotted manure! Romantic, isn't it?

lol... I asked my boyfriend for a reciprocating saw... much better than a bunch of flowers or chocolates in my opinion! :thumbsup

hwillm- I got my hubby a reciprocating saw for V-Day, and I got the ever romantic load of gravel lol. I needed a new pathway for my chicken coop and some to put down where my new goat milking stand is going, oh and the milking stand was a gift too.

We both are way passed the flower/candy thing. So I ask for gravel, when DH was unloading it he kept asking was I sure thats what I wanted, and I wouldn't be unset when there wasn't a box of candy. It is what I wanted. and I also got breakfast. So it has been a great morning.
