I don't know what a vinegar mother looks like but, I have read on hear that it is a slimy thing that forms in vinegar. Is that right?
The reason why I ask is because I have a very large glass jar that I keep distilled white vinegar in. I store the bottle in a closet. I had some rosemary in it for a long time because I use it on my hair. And the rosemary is suppose to help with scalp issues. Eventually the rosemary started to look a little shabby so I strained it. Now (and it has been awhile) there is a weird thing in the bottle. Here is what it looks like: it is translucent, thin, sits on the bottom unless I tip the jar, and it is slimy when I pull a little glob of it out of the jar? Any ideas of what it might be? It is just cheap-o store bought distilled white vinegar. So do you think I have something really neat here or just something really really gross
