We're in the process of remodeling our house and are looking into various flooring options. I called my brother who has a lot of experience in this area and he said he's a big fan of "Vinyl Plank - Loose Lay Flooring".

After listing all the pro's, I can't see anything at all that is wrong with it! Is it really too good to be true?

Some links about the flooring:

Long installation video:

He used Karndean flooring: http://www.karndean.com/en/floors

Seems there are a lot of different manufacturers of it.

So, my main questions:
  1. Is it really "too good to be true"? Easy to install, wears well (strong), not as susceptible to water, easily replaceable planks, etc?
  2. Can it really be laid down without glue!?
