I've been living in this village for a year and 3 months now and walked and drove on that road countless times and I still love seeing that stretch of road and the scenery. It's amazing when the sun's out.
What really tickles me is that road, it's maybe 7-8 foot wide, has a white line still in tact in some place down the middle lol When driving on roads like these I've learned how to squeeze past oncoming traffic, both vehicles half-on, half-off the road and not panicking because we're still barely inches apart. There are a lot of cars in Ireland with smashed rear view mirrors
Baymule, it is now! Many of these older roads get taken back by nature over time. There is one down in Co Cork, near Model Village, at a crossing on the road where they put a STOP sign, and painted "STOP" on the road, only "TOP" can still be seen clearly. The S is gone-gone along with that side of the road.
This road in the pics get the odd truck heading out there to do deliveries of heating oil and lots of tractor traffic.
