Holy crap, what a PITA!!! :he

I have to give the pioneers that designed these things a LOT of credit. When you stop and think about WHAT they accomplished with what little they had to work with. :bow :bow :bow

Fun! Whatcha gonna make? There's a historic Shaker village near here that has people recreate how they lived and I'm always fascinated watching the women work the looms.

Warping is the major reason I will never have anything bigger than a lap loom! You get a lot less tangled up warping a 16 inch loom than a floor loom ;) How big a loom are you using? What kind?

I would post you guys up some pictures, BUT it will be a few more day......... I loaned my card reader and cable to a buddy of mine, that is using it on MY game camera to track deer!! :barnie

We found a 36 inch wide, Union 2 treadle loom. Late 1800's I am guessing.........but it looks like it is brand new. Wife is going to be making all new rugs for the house. The "quality" of the store bought rugs leave a LOT to be desired...... Specially when you have three dogs, and have to wash the rugs as often as we do. :gig

I am jealous! Where did you find your loom?
I placed a want ad for a floor loom, got only one response and she wanted $800. Out of my price range.

There is a lady near Columbiana Ohio that collects and restores looms. We got this one for like 350.00 IIRC I will see if the The Wife still has the contact info..........
