We have taken another step in a direction I would like to take the family.

My wife hates to camp. I get it but it shouldn't stop us. So we agreed on a camper. O.K. The next question I had for myself was how can I use a camper to benefit us in the long run. Hate to put money into something I might not use.

So we looked and looked and low and behold a friend had an old Airstream he is getting rid of. Hmmm .... good time ??? All is well with it and 800.00 dollars later I have one.

Now how to use it? I have plans to buy some land someday Looking for 20 acres or more. Have been coming across some here and there but not what we need. I have now figured I can use the camper as a base of operations when we get our land. Rather than roughing it we can sleep with a nice roof over our head til the cabin or house gets finished.

This future adventure is to be a completely debt free project. So I own the camper and now feel we are moving in a good direction. :) We only owe on the prop/house we own now. No other debt. By retirement we should be in a nice postion in 20 yrs or so. :)

Good buy! Unlike most campers the quality of the Airstream will retain a good bit of value ;) The wife will enjoy it given the opportunity. If my kids can learn to like one, anybody can! They really enjoyed camping after experiencing it. :)

You got an Airstream for $800? Wow. Would be interested in what kind of shape it's in and some photos.

Thank you all. I am excited and my wife is gitty. :) I looked at it and went over everything. The axles are great. NO interrior damage at all. Some cosmetic. The restroom never used. :) That is a plus. There is some rust on the ooutside but just surface. All windows work well. I am very happy with what we paid.

THe snow can melt anytime now. :) Airstream the Cadillac of campers for sure. :)
