"But reading Eat-Clean Diet-which suggests swapping processed foods for offerings like Greek yogurt with nuts and brown rice-"

Suggests? Suggests? Suggests??

What have we come to, when its a SUGGESTION to stop eating processed foods?

Now for a question as well, I joined Jenny Craig earlier this year, was tired of being fat and people being on my ass. The entire month I was on it, I was SICK, like cold sick. Do you think it was because of how crappy their food is? It wasnt a huge diet change, but quality/ingredient wise it was HUGE. I went from a high calorie, yet good ingredient/quality to a low cal, bad bad quality/ingredient. I quit because I couldnt handle them anymore.

I don't care how good they make it look on the box, it all tastes like cardboard - no, wait! I think I've had cardboard that tastes better.

Ok I am confused, are you saying it should be mandatory to quit eating processed foods? Rather than a suggestion? Will we have food cops? Here in NC they have just passed a law that says children cannot be fed Whole Milk that no drink flavored with Sugar can be offered and only 100% fruit juice will be allowed. Of course artificial sweeteners are still allowed. Originally this law was to cover all children in day care and the school meals to prevent fat kids. At the last minute they got the bill changed to cover just those meals that are subsidized by tax money. BTW they already have a list of foods that children cannot brown bag from home! ~gd

it is called freedom to choose lol

Small problem if you have enough to get by, but a big problem if you don't, sort of like money! LOL ~gd

I took the "suggests" as more of a "unscientifically proven" suggests, not as a choice suggests ;).

She was eating the right number of calories, but crappy food and not loosing weight. She couldn't figure out why.

I always get creeped out by the pics of food on the Nutrisystem commercial. I can't imagine what they have to do to it so that they can mail a month's worth to you, and you are still able to eat it. :sick
