I need to sell two of my adult does and all the bucklings from this year. I posted this ad on Craigslist;

http://stcloud.craigslist.org/grd/1827107482.html

Do you think I added too much info..?

So far I've gotten four replies on it. The first two emailed me asking for pictures of the adult does (my first ad didn't have pictures), then we emailed back and forth a bit, and then NOTHING for days. It really ticks me off. If they are no longer interested I wish they would just tell me so I can move on to other people. They aren't going to hurt my feelings.

I emailed both of them asking if they were still interested and if they weren't if they could please let me know so I could move on. Only the one replied back saying that if I lowered my prices he might be interested.

Then, I received another email from a lady who was also interested in the does. I email her back and have heard nothing since the third of July.

The fourth person was interested in raw milk for her pups. She should be coming this next week. Looks hopeful. Turns out she's also on BYC!

What do you guys think? Anything I should change about the ad? I really need to get rid of these goats..

I think it really depends on who you are aiming for. If you are aiming for people like you, and people around here on this forum then it is FINE, however if you are trying to sell it to some organic-trendy kinda people then there are to many big words to cope with at one time I think. But that is just me, If you are trying to hit the "Oh I am just so amazing and trendy" people try giving some figures such as how much value in cheese does she milk per week. But to be honest, I wouldn't sell to such people, so I think it is just perfect. Those goats look really nice and healthy, so you shouldn't have a problem selling them.

You might consider using a different pic for the top left goat. He is a good looking goat but the expression on his face looks like he was in a bad mood. That might make people nervous about his personality.

This ad really reminds me of the sales section of farms websites. Do you have one? You have great animals, so it would give you a good way to show them off and give all the info that customers who know about bloodlines could want.

Is Ann Robin a first freshener? You might reword this sentence a bit.
"She behaves well on the milk stand but her milk production could be better, I think it will definitely improve with another freshening."
How about:
She behaves well on the milk stand and her milk production is likely to increase with another freshening.

You're right Laura, I thought about that. I should probably shave them but I'm not sure exactly how.
The dog was barking at them nonstop so it was also causing some difficulties. I got these girls over a year ago as wormy, lethargic, skittish and stunted kids, and although I have worked with the a lot, my gender is my downfall. They hate men. I don't know what happened to them before, but Blossom is still the hardest to work with :/

I guess I need to work on better pictures of the adults.

Your ad sounds fine to me. You are selling registered goats and people looking for registered goat would want that info. Sometimes it is so hard to sell things. I do hate when people don't get back to you. I learned to move on if I don't get a response and not to wait for people if I have someone else interested.

If you can get away with it, put your ad in a couple local areas so more people will see it.

I agree with eveyone else.

I also think you need to refresh your ads every two days. I mean like bump them by re-posting them and erasing the older posts.

Most people just check out the newly listed ads. Also make sure you have a fresh ad up on Sat. morning. Weekends are hot for buying/selling.

One more thing, people on cl move-on, and can be quite flaky. Lots of times they won't call back or show up when they say they will. Dont "hold" them for anyone until you have cash in hand. You can politely state a disclaimer in your ad.
