We go through alot of mayo here, and I have been making it with sunflower oil. I have tried olive oil but I can't get over the taste of it that way, which is why i switched back to sunflower oil, but I want a healthier oil. Coconut does not work, it gets too hard. Lard would do the same thing. Suggestions?

I would try different olive oils. Only one olive oil I bought had a strong olive odor.

Another option is grapeseed oil. I think the nayo I got from the hfs had grapeseed oil. We use it in salads too.

Oh! THAT's why I bought the grapeseed oil!! It's been sitting in the kitchen cabinet for months and I could NOT remember why I bought it! :idunno Now I remember: I was going to try making mayo.

We use sunflower oil. It makes a mayo that is even better then Best Foods (die hard Best Foods fans here) and the texture is the same too.
