All of my neighbors in my complex have pansies and petunias on their patios.

I have kale and onions.

The probably think I am weird.

Yes, they probably think that you are weird,... or exceptionally intelligent. In moments like these, I always tell myself it's the latter. If it's the former, just explain that the voices told you to plant the kale and onions, and they'll probably never mention it again.

flowers add joy to the senses I think it is great they have them but I know that fresh food is just as important

Oh, I love flowers, FC. I just don't have room for both. At least, that is what the voices told me.

Redux, some flowers you can eat. Violets for example,...you can brush them with egg whites, then sprinkle with sugar and use them for cake decorations. They are so pretty! Many flowers are edible though,..just not sure about pansies or petunias,.. Of course myself I would rather have kale and onions too!

Good idea- Nasturtiums are tasty in a salad and so pretty. Plus, hummingbirds seem to like them.
