wood shop shape

anyone have any input about the shape of a wood shop. I'm in the planning stages right now and am trying to figure out dimensions that would work best. i have considered 24' x 24' (576 sq/ft) or maybe 20' x 28' (560 sq/ft). just wondered if that extra length in the 20x28 might be better or the overall extra sq/ft of the square 24x24. or should i go even more narrow: 18' x 32'?

Since I am limited to 10 x 16, that all sounds good to me. Someone with a larger shop will have to take this one.
