I've never seen a wood tub and didn't think they could hold water, but then people had to have bathed in something before they could use cast iron, right?

That is one beautiful tub. I've never seen a wooden tub either. Do you have to keep re-finishing the inside because of the water you soak into it? Probably a silly question, but I admire, I don't make anything.

why couldn't a wooden tub hold water??? "wood barrels" basically a tub.

or how about a boat?

I have wanted to build a wooden hot tub for years. I designed a square tub. Basically a timber frame planked on the inside with yellow cedar. I wanted to build it like a boat with cotton. I hope i get to it someday...

Beautiful tub man..
