I didnt get to the hens,, or mowing, I started puttering ,,, by cleaning up back by the coop/porch, moved my container off the pad and down behind the coop. It has chick stuff and garden stuff in it.

moved these 4 plant holders I have had for years from the west side of the run to the southside which is shaded by the house. It just get to hot where they were and the nasturtiums I plant in the pots cook

All 14 hens got a through Dawn soap bath.
They are all dry now and look so nice. I will try and get some pics of them tomorrow.

never in my life did i think that chickens would ever want or need a bath, but i do see birds taking baths (we have a few of them here to watch the birdies) so i guess it just never clicked but then i also have to admit i've never seen a chicken out in the ditches or playing in a puddle like some other birds seem to do.

@Hinotori were they eggs from your hens? I have a broody setting 7 eggs. Considered buying eggs but, none close and she was serious! So, used eggs from flock. 🤷

Lightly overcast morns all week it seems. Otherwise good weather. Plan to mow some fence lines today....checking as I go for any breaks from winter animal pressures. If winds/breezes stop, I'd like to burn off garden area one day this week.

Yes. Ive moved some roosters around now.

Broody and chicks will only be separated a week at most and she can see the flock from that
