Well, thanks old fashioned. I'm a regular on BYC, so I followed this thread over from there. Glad to be here. My family tries to be self sufficient so I'm excited to look around!

Just wanted to add that my midwives were in an office with two ob/gyn doctos and the office staff recommended the midwives. Some of them thought that women seemed to heal better/faster when using a midwife.

My relatives were kind, but had questions. My midwives only delivered in the hospital. When our relatives heard midwife, they pictured us giving birth at home (I guess it made them nervous). Which I think is neat also, but the hubby wouldn't go for it. It was the best decision we made for...
