I picked up some lids today for $3.16 for large mouth. Also got the box holder they came in since there were only 5 boxes. I was needing a large mouth box.

    Fencing

We put up smooth wire when we first fenced our place. Then the neighbors cows came right on through to eat our horse hay, so up went the barb wire.

    Coronavirus Concern Up

I take immunosuppressant meds for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I also have asthma. I have no plans on taking the vaccine. I'm not comfortable with the rush job that has been put on the vaccines to get them approved. In fact, no one in my family plans on taking it. Zantac was just taken off the...

    Organizing and decluttering the homestead

Where does it all come from? I'll have a cleaned off table or the counter by the back door. Next thing you know, you can't even see the table or counter. Lay 1 thing down on it, and it seems to sprout into multiples over night. Never ending.

    Where are all the lids???

I have quite a few lids of both kinds. Anytime I'm in a store with a canning section, I will check and see if they have any in stock. If so, I'll pick up a few boxes to add to my collection.

That was so sweet of them to do that for you! It's so nice to have friends or family that will help out in time of need, often without you even asking.

    MY LATEST DIY PROJECT

I don't do roof work any more either. It's not that I'm "clutzy", but I just get so tired (from the ra), that I find myself tripping over thin air quite often. I have to really watch it when I'm stepping up. I've planked a few times. :(

    MY LATEST DIY PROJECT

It does look rough after a logging crew comes through. My DH has been logging most of his life. We hauled pulpwood when we first got married to make ends meet. There's always something that needs doing around a homestead. I had planned on working on cleaning out my shed, but ended up raking up...

    Lazy Gardener's Little Town Farm

Hydroxychloroquine was the first med I was put on when I was diagnosed with RA. It worked SO good!! My pain was gone, I had ENERGY, I was able to go up/down steps normally instead of taking a step and bringing my other foot to the same step. It was the best 2 months of my life, then it was over...

    WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

Wow. This thread sure has gone to the dogs. I was going to post about what I've been canning, but after reading some of the comments made to Bee (a long time canner), I think I'll pass. I sure don't want any panties to get in a wad because I might be canning it wrong. Be kind ladies & gents...
