The new installments. I ordered the cups last year sometime and finally put them to use. Everything else we already had. Drill bits, drill, silicone...
My poor cat, Callie, lost part of her toe. Maddie, our Akbash, lost her toe up to the first knuckle. All three bit within 48 hours of each other. We were burning log piles and must've pushed them out.
Sven, my 2 year old colt, had a full recovery with virtually no damage. He does have an ugly...
I know it's been a while since I've posted. The new batch of chickens are finally starting to lay so I had to throw together my old coops.
I didn't get pictures but we built feeders and waterers out of old Tidying Cats cat litter jugs. The waterers are the cup style, I got a 6pack for $12...
Java is 17.1 hands. Almost 6ft tall at the shoulder.
69 inches at the lowest pay of the withers.
Over 7ft tall at the top of his ears (Long necked thing he is).
I need a ladder!!
Here's one of me trying to get him tacked up so I could ride him. He's a monster.
Java when we got him:
Found some pictures of Java and John. The two giants go well together!
Then my other horse I guess I haven't spoken much of, is Java. Java is a retired thoroughbred who won a pretty penny on the race track then got dumped out when he blew out his shoulder.

I am sorry to have kept you waiting. Life has been keeping me busy.
Most of you I believe know my mustang mare Mama:
Not her most flattering pictures but ya'll already know how pretty she is. :)
I got Mama when I was 14, and she's a permanent member of my herd. She's retired now...
@baymule I know Joe is a Cremello, but he reminds me of Mama (My few spot App mustang mare.)
Post coming, I'm just going to copy it from the other forum I posted it on. :hide I'm lazy like that.
The garden isn't doing as well as I would have hoped this year. We have nothing to can and it's...
So this evening after I got done playing in the garden and feeding everyone, I went out to give Xena her medicine. She has an upper respiratory infection ( basically shipping fever ) and has been getting Penicillin for the last few days. She's definitely feeling better... she saw me coming with...
I've been milling it over for a while now.
My husband and I talked about it in depth. Losing Maya was a wake up call.
I can't wait to start riding again. I've been buying all new tack for Xena, Secret will use Mayas old tack, because she's a monster and nothing I have fits.
Life has a funny way of happening. This week we say goodbye to our dairy herd. It's become something of a task to care for them. I'm over whelmed with my husband being gone for work. It was a tough decision but one I needed to make. I do not have the time to milk twice a day and fill feeders and...
