We had stroganoff last night , except is was venison stroganoff.
Today I got the crock pot out again and made Tortilla Stacker. You need:

Ground meat
Salsa
You just make layers...
Yes, going to friends' houses AND being around my family. Most of my family (and my hubby's) are horrible eaters with a lot of weight/health issues. We already avoid most processed and refined stuff, but it's difficult at family gatherings because that's what a lot of people make to eat...
Birdbrain, I've tried a lot of things concerning diet, but I've never actually tried going gluten free. I know there's lots of info on here about it, so I'll check into it. I'm hoping it's not too difficult!
FarmerDenise, you are right about his tics increasing with stress. I definately can...
I think what helped me quit the most was the fact that my husband was the cigarette nazi. :gig He stayed on me like white on rice, making sure I wasn't sneaking any. I was annoyed with him at the time, but now I thank him. :)
Yes! I buy bags of onions because they're cheaper that way, but we'd never go through them all before they got sprouty or moldy, so I mince and freeze. Hubby likes the taste of onions, but not the crunchy texture. So, freezing them makes 'em a little more mushy and he doesn't notice as much...
Thanks everyone for the support. :hugs
I was actually pleasantly surprised last night at P/T Conferences. They went very well. My oldest son, Z is doing just great academically and behavior wise, got a great report from his teacher.

Glad the recipe worked out for you FarmerDenise, we really like it too. :) I think my next condiment that I will try is going to be BBQ sauce, and I'll use our homemade ketchup for it of course.
lorihadams, I know what you mean about reading with your son and moving. My little guy will jiggle the whole time, and of course he will make his sounds because of his tics. But, he wanted me to read JRR Tolkein's The Hobbit to him, and I was pleased to find that even though he is always...
My crock pot is my best friend when it comes to dinner, I use it a lot. It's so nice coming home and not having to make dinner!
Today is crock pot Tamale Pie. :drool
Thanks ChaneyLakeGirl, it is nice to hear from other people who have had similar problems. It's so frustrating! Especially since he isn't this way at home. Don't get me wrong, we have had our moments! But at home he is always busy. We're cooking something, taking care of the chickens...
For the past couple years my son has been having tics, mostly in his face. Repeated and rapid blinking is his most prominent tic. But, he also make sounds in his throat, which are a little hard to explain in writing, kind of a throat clearing sound. He also repeatedly clears his throat...
We have been using Swheat Scoop for a couple years now, a litter made out of wheat. It clumps and is scoopable, you can flush it or compost it. It's sold at our local hardware store here, and after you buy 10 bags, the 11th is free. We compost the litter, but it is in a seperate pile from...
