    We had a light lesson load today. To many things around here drawing our attention.Hubby brought home an orphan squirrel Friday for DS to care for. He is very excited and distracted. Trying to do school work with a critter on the table is hard.

    I have tried all butter and also tried mixing shortening and butter as per the recipe. I haven't bought any lard. I read somewhere what kind not to get and know I don't remember.

    I just want biscuits that are fluffy and light. Instead I get crumbly hockey pucks every time. Wh do they never turn out for me. I follow the recipe but it hates me. :hit

    What did you do to save $ today?

    I shut down my extra freezer and started washing dishes by hand instead of using the dishwasher. I am also back to hanging clothes to dry. I got lazy using the dryer for a while.
