If I had enough property I would have lawn mowers, root ridders, wool makers and dairy producers. I definitely wouldn't go hungry, my husband might but not me.🤣 I got to pick some green beans, squash and cherry tomatoes today.
Did some weeding in the garden but it's too hot to do anymore. I might go back out around 6 or so. Picked some cherry tomatoes, a yellow squash and 2 strawberries.
Sadly the heat and drought won this year for my corn. I'm still getting cherry tomatoes and crookneck squash so I'm grateful for that. I did get a 17 lbs cushaw pumpkin which I am currently cooking in order to make some pumpkin bread. I'm still waiting to see if I get any green beans, peppers...
Picked a really strange looking squash of some kind. It somewhat resembles a crookneck but it's really curled and looks like it attached itself to another squash.
I have to get out and water the garden. Tried digging up potatoes with not a lot of luck. I really need to find a happy medium for potatoes, onions and garlic.
I coated it in a few dry rub BBQ blend with olive oil butter and garlic salt and Montreal steak spice, then grilled it. She ate all of it and all I got was a small taste.
I have so many green cherry tomatoes. A bunch of baby crookneck squash and an onslaught of corn. I also have some other type of squash just not sure what type. My strawberries keep producing but not enough just yet, hopefully next year will be better.
