Small "ethical" companies that are really owned by huge corporations

Actually, you are pretty accurate. In theory, companies like Con Agra, General Mills, Colgate, etc cannot force you to sell your business if you are sole proprietor, or even a partnership. You really only open yourself up to that if you have shares and investors, although you can escape that...

Colowyo - grudgingly settling in :P

Tuesday - 6 days left until we leave! So I went to bed before 9 pm monday night because I was tired. SO woke me up at 11 something all excited because after spending two hours with google earth and some other resources he finally pinned down which trailer in the park is ours :) He was so...

Colowyo - grudgingly settling in :P

Overview of Monday: Did not make breakfast, however I was allowed to sleep until 10 am :) Did go to the storage unit(s) - apparantly there are two - did not get the washer and dryer. Those storage units were not build well, they have mice in them something fierce and the washer...

Small "ethical" companies that are really owned by huge corporations

I knew about Tom's, Burts, and Cascadian, but not about the others. Especially Seeds of Change! I was looking at them as a place to buy my seeds this year before I got them elsewhere. I also knew that the picture on the labels rarely, if ever, matches the reality. It is sad though...

Colowyo - grudgingly settling in :P

So, for several weeks before we took care of all the chickens, we were getting no eggs, or at most one egg a day. It was kind of sad really. I knew they had dropped production because of the heat and all, but they had started to slowly pick up a bit as the weather got a little bit cooler. And...

    Abifae - Ciao Babies!

This is why I try not to go to places like walmart and kings soopers without SO. He doesn't really ground the way you do but he distracts me enough that I can block everything else out, unless it's really really crowded. He is somewhat empathetic himself, but it's all as a sender, not as a...

    Abifae - Ciao Babies!

Thats a pretty good explanation and works, to a point :) it doesn't, however, cover the rare person who is actually empatathetic, meaning someone who actually feels the emotions of another person. gotta tell you, it's not pleasant until you learn how to block out the extra emotions. but :hugs...

Colowyo - grudgingly settling in :P

Definitely the case here as well :) So much so that I am going to contact the library today and tell them to send me the bill to replace two books we apparently have overdue. Can't find them, and I did look in the boxes of packed books. So, I will just replace them for the library, and if we...

Colowyo - grudgingly settling in :P

8 days left! Maybe it should be seven? If I say it right, it's 7 days until we leave. Cause you don't count today, and you don't count the day we leave :) Yay!! 7 days until we leave! :woot Today I need to: Pull the meat of the carcasses and freeze it, and put the carcasses back in to...

Colowyo - grudgingly settling in :P

Yes, definitely have it under control :) Especially since I'm not letting SO pack or carry anything else fragile. He had just finished packing the holiday ornaments yesterday, and then tried to stand up with the box on his lap. Box fell, and four of the five blown glass ornaments broke. It...

    Lichen Planus

Same thing I was going to suggest! :) My SO and I are both heavily gluten intolerant, but while mine gives me the cramps and bad gut reactions his is all emotional/mental. Throws him for a major loop and its like living with the stereotypical pmsing person heavily for about three weeks...

    Everybody still here?

My SO and I are moving from the Denver, CO area to eastern Kansas in eight days as well, roughly the same time P.Fox is moving to TN :) Our move is job related though. gave away or butchered all of our chickens, currently processing them two and three at a time :) Learning how to be a stay at...

Colowyo - grudgingly settling in :P

*sigh* no stress. Well, in that case, can I ship you SO for the next ten days or so? :D That would make everything so much easier! He finally saw the wisdom in packing all but one set of dishes. If I ask him to help because I know there's stuff he wants to go through he will moan and groan...

Colowyo - grudgingly settling in :P

Nine days to go! Got three carcasses in two crocks :) and this time I have vinegar in the crocks :D Got the rest of the dishes not in current use packed. Got SO to go through the holiday stuff and sort it for donation or keep, and boxed away :) Tomorrow we go to the inlaws storage shed to...

I lost my wavy thick hair qualities when I got sick from the gluten stuff. I still haven't gained those back, and I've lost a bit of hair. Will you PLEASE share that formula? I want my hair back and I want a flake free scalp without having to sacrifice my hair for it!
