No, it tastes more like beef. I just meant it used to be my favourite until I tried lamb. They taste nothing alike. ( I had never had lamb before we processed our own.) and when I say it tastes like beef, beef pales in comparison.

It would last alot longer if you could get it unground and grind it yourself, as needed. It would go rancid before not too long, but I wouldn't know the time frame.
A composting toilet can be as simple as a 5 gallon gbucket with some wood shavings in it. and put a toilet seat on it. Every time you go, add some more shavings, when full, dump in a dedicated spot to actually compost.
