Here is another one I just made. It is bigger. It measures 3 inches by 2 inches. They are so easy to make.
On this one I used a canning lid that was one piece. YOu can glue a lid into a band if you need to. This one turned out to be my favorite one. :)

I know what I will be adding to my Christmas baskets this year. :)
You can ask them do they have ZOTE and they probably carry it. I is only about a $1.25 for a bar that you can get 3 batches of detergent out of.
Zote is specifically made for cleaning dishes, laundry, etc.
This is what the package will look like...
I use the ZOTE soap for my detergent. The Fels was to strong smelling for me. Zote can be found at any Mexican store. Dollar General used to carry it here but they don't anymore :idunno

We used to do the menu for the month, but since we have to go out and get milk and other perishables I figured a 2 week menu would be great.
We all sit down at the table armed with all the cookbooks and each of us pick out recipes that we would like to have. That way all is happy.
YOu got that right PP. The first time I made a menu, for a month, I saved $90 and I was hooked. I thought maybe a 2 week menu for this year would work better beings we just processed 36 meat birds and I am limited on freezer space (due to great deals at the market). :)
That is some great information, but we only have 1 acre and we have a garden for us and 1/2 of the acre is fenced in for animals.
Hubby is gonna get me a milk cow if I get rid of the goats. :celebrate

I had one that I bought form a yard sale last year for $0.75 and gave it to our Preacher's son so he could have 2 for making deer jerky.
He gives us a bag each time he makes some. :) The kids love it.
Well, I went shopping today for a 2 week supply and spent around $120 for a family of 5, not bad but it could have been better. Made up my menu and followed it strictly.
And to my surprise, I received a bag of free crinkle cut fries ( the employee cut the bag accidentally with the blade) so the...
We had soup for supper tonight and it contained :
Beef
Carrots
Tomatoes

Green Beans
Homemade tomato soup for the base
All of the ingredients listed above we canned last year. It went over good since we had a windy day yesterday and a cold day today.
I was in Goodwill a long while back and I cam across two pans that looked like loaf pans. Well they were only $0.50 each so I got them. When I pulled them from the pile I noticed that they were adjustable. You could adjust the pan from 6 inches to 18 inches.
Not sure what they were previously...
I can't wait to get our milk cow. Hubby told me if I would part with the goats that we could have a cow. Anybody interested in a dad, mom, and baby? (goats) :)
Well, I have to go back a couple days here.
Last Friday I went to pick up to truck loads of free, yes FREE, lumber from a company in town so that I could cover the building my daughters and I had built out of free, yes FREE, pallets that a church friend got for us. Saved from not having to buy...
