Thank you Deb! :hugs
You're so welcome, Joel! :hugs
I'll gladly share our fall colors with you! Once the leaves are off the trees, I'll be begging you for pix of greenery! :gig We have some cedars on the land and that's about it, as far as any green we'll see, tree-wise, during the winter...
Hi Deb! :frow
Where I grew up at wasn't far from Wharton Track at all. It was a bit to the east of us. Went to Google Earth and took a screen shot of the area that I grew up in and used to ride or just spend the day out hiking in.
I miss the Pines, a lot, sometimes but I don't ever see...
That's what we plan on doing with the frae of our ShelterLogic, once it's retired, for good! ;) It's first job will be a protective shelter over the camper...once we are finished with the kitchen/bath half of the cabin. When we're ready to start on the livingroom/loft bedroom half, we'll have to...
Sounds like you had a great day, Deb! :D
We used to ride my aunts' ponies in the Barrens behind her place and I miss it! You could ride all day and never see another person. We used to pretend we were pioneers and the first ones to ever explore those woods. Well, the fire roads that we rode on...
Thanks to the rain we've been getting, our area has gone from Exceptional to Severe.
We've still got a ways to go before we hit normal, though. Rainfall amounts, that is...doc and I will never be normal. :gig
NO...I am not pregnant!!! Oh, wait...the other goat is Little Bit! :gig
Sorry, but just couldn't resist as Little Bit has been my nickname since moving to the South back in '87. It beats the heck outta GI Barbie (Army nickname) and Swifty Jake (growing up). :gig
Me, too, BB! :D Not happening here until we get the cabin built, though, I've got the camper loaded to max capacity with my milk kefir and just added kombucha...need more room! :gig
Just wanted to do an update:
Here's a look at the green onions that I talked about back in March:
I've finally gotten ginger and horseradish root pieces potted up about 2 weeks ago but not seeing any sprouts yet. The weather has been cooler, with quite a bit of rain and I'm sure that has...
:yuckyuck Well, it's as dry as the Mojave Desert.........................................................................................after a monsoon! :gig
Ended up with 3/4th of an inch of rain after the storms moved through this morning. Supposed to be nice tomorrow (civilized visit, so...
:hugs Thanks, Deb! Feeling much better today! :hugs
Beautiful day here but on the warm side...78F. It's amazing just how toasty it felt after highs in the upper 50's - lower 60's! I almost broke a sweat while cleaning the buns' poop trays!
The beds are still too wet to mess with and...
Wanted to do a quick update...
So, my BIL took the tonic for a day and decided that it didn't work! My stepdad had been on it for a week and was no longer congested, then dear BIL told dad it didn't work so he's quit taking it , too, and is congested again! :smack
I've gotten a...
Hey Pinkie,
Just a word of warning from someone with experience on those ShelterLogic sheds...ours developed pin-holes in the roof within 2 years from sitting in the TN sun and they suck if you ever get a decent snow. I've lost count of the hours that I've put in knocking the snow off of the...
I wish I had advice to offer but I'm following along to see what you come up with, big help, I know!
We have several springs on our place and would love to develop one of the lower ones as a back up water source but have no clue about where to even start and am worried I'd end up doing...
We had rain yesterday and more today, too! We really need it but I'm starting to feel a bit waterlogged. Supposed to be nice tomorrow but we've got a 70% chance of rain tomorrow night. :idunno Not sure when I'll ever get to work in the garden beds at the rate things are going right now. :th...
Poor cat but :yuckyuck . Our guineas are like that with our cat...she can't go anywhere, if they're out ranging, without them following her and sounding the alarm. The wildbirds appreciate their warning, though.
So glad to have you back home with us, ff6! I've missed ya! :hugs
Congrat's on finishing up with the weeding, Deb! :celebrate
It's raining, again, today so tomorrow I'll be tackling more weeds. I've got a patch of tall ones in the unused section of the drivway that need to go and this rain will make it that much easier! :D
We had our first frost last week...
