    Yes those claws mean business!! It is amazing how quickly and effortlessly they can climb a tree. They are def. not a bear - some people get quite precious about them being called 'Koala Bears' - they are just 'Koalas'. Alas she is gone, would have wandered off during the night to somewhere...

    The only eat eucalypt leaves from a specific type of gum tree. They have been known to get 'drunk' and fall out of the trees. They spend most of their time eating and sleeping.

    Yeah, these guys aren't too scary. Mind you they don't take to kindly to being handled. This was just a little one, young and I'm guessing female. The older males get quite big. They are cute though :love

    Hi all, Just thought I'd share the little visitor we had in our garden. I currently live in town (we are building on 2 acres out of town :weee ) so it is not often you see a koala wandering around.
