They're actually not a summer squash. They're in the gourd family but have a flavor and use somewhat like summer squash when picked while immature. If they are left to dry on the vine they can be used for crafts.
Wednesday I went to get hay. We've had temps well over 100 here in the ozarks and very little rain. Round bales are no where to be found and square bales are getting tough to find. I'm actually scared for winter.
I was wondering if anyone here had dealt with cae in their dairy herd. I suspect one of my does that has a hard place in her udder has it, but Im not sure what to look for. Her udder is hard in the center and soft around it. Not overly full. Not hot. Very little milk.
BB, Ill be praying for you and your friend and for Him to put your feet on the path he wants you to take. I need prayers too. I don't doubt my salvation but I'm not where I was. Our church was wonderful and growing and people were being saved every week then satan stepped through the door and...

"Okay," I thought, "Lord, what about the bad things? Like when satan attacks us and...
Well the water heater thermostat worked good for the brooder. I wasn't hatching quail in it I was brooding them. The regular heater thermostat worked great for the incubator until the points started needing cleaned after the second incubation. Then they got some kinda buildup and would stick...
Hey you guys! I'm reading Corrie ten Boom's Tramp for the Lord. I just finished The Hiding Place. They are both really great books that really ministered to me, especially Tramp for the Lord!!!
Okay I have some requests too. First tomorrow I'm putting our land back up for sale. I'm praying His will be done there. I don't want to see it go because I loved living there, but I realize that it may be what needs done. The other is whether I should go back to work at the nursing home...
Well my garden is really jumping up with these warm days. Yesterday I harvested the first bunch of turnips. I finally planted my jumbo muscadine, trailing blackberries and figs. I hope they all do okay. My other blackberries are blooming and putting on fruit. We have a wild mulberry that...
