I need help wiring a thermostat please!

Okay so I have this thermostat. I need to know how to wire it 110 to run a lightbulb for a brooder. I have basic wiring skills and know how NOT to get electrocuted! LOL Ive done this before with other salvaged thermostats, but I dont have a clue how to wire this one. I was hoping someone here could guide me on where the wires go. When I took it off the wires hooked in at the top and out at different places on the bottom so theretically I can wire it the same way right? Also can someone please explain how this thermostat works to me? I tried looking them up online, but couldnt find anything.

Never mind I think I found it! Any info is still appreciated. I found a diagram showing it hooked up the same way I took it off.

It looks like a hot water heater thermostat....??....

I used one in an incubator that I made a couple years ago. I seem to recall there being a diagram on the packaging for wiring. You may be able to find a wiring diagram for it in a water heater how-to.

It IS a hot water heater thermostat salvaged off a junk water heater lol. I looked it up and eventually found directions online. I'm used to the wafer looking ones and all the different places to wire threw me off on that one. It is working great though. I've been using it for about a week on my brooder running a light.

Awesome! What sort of babies are you brooding? I am itching to hatch some chicks....the other day it was all I could do to leave Tractor Supply without a box full of new babies...sigh.

Quail! I need to add another light though because the one isn't enough and it's getting kinda cool in there at night even with it on all night. It turns off during the day occasionally. I have it set around 95. My incubator is made out of an old heater with a thermostat. So far I have 22 blue laced red wyandottes in it and it holds pretty good between 99 and 101. Occasionally it will go a little higher or lower but not bad. Took the heater apart and installed it in a plywood box with a plexiglass window salvaged from an old boat windshield. So basically incubator and brooder were free if you don't count taking apart a good heater. Lol

I am new to the group, but I have raised quail before, hatching them from a bulb is very tricky, most will tell you they need turning at least twice a day, I would recommend a bit more. Also would like to know if the Water heater Thermostat works for your project, never tried using one that way.
As for the other bulb just add another in the series with the thermostat and it will still shut off automatically if it gets too hot.

Well the water heater thermostat worked good for the brooder. I wasn't hatching quail in it I was brooding them. The regular heater thermostat worked great for the incubator until the points started needing cleaned after the second incubation. Then they got some kinda buildup and would stick and overheat. Once I cleaned them they started working right again. I got two good hatches out of it but the third one the points had started sticking really bad and I only had one duckling hatch out of that setting.
