I live in the AV, in Lancaster. At first glance when we moved here this place looked great because it offered quiet communities...but in reality, the city is just trying to make the homes look like "perfect suburbia." We have to have manicured lawns and they must be green or else we'd be fined; we can't own chickens if we don't have more than 15000 sq. feet; we have to cut back on water use even though the city will water their lawns for minutes at a time while the water runs down the sidewalks. I feel for these people who have properties outside of the city but are being hassled by it.
