or maybe just run away from home and start over? haha. just fooling around here this morning. i guess i'm in a pixieish mood (whatever that might be :) )...

while it may be a tough round to get others in the household to clean up after themselves and the messes they make it should be done and the battles should be fought until they do it. there's no reason any child should grow up not knowing how to take care of themself and how to clean up the messes they make. after they move out perhaps they'll be pigs, but at least you will know that you were not the one responsible for letting them habitually be that ways while they were growing up. mental issues, adolescent hormones and everything else aside, if they can't keep a place clean they're going to end up in trouble one way or another (IMO of course).

and while i'm certainly no paragon of virtue when it comes down to cleaning, every place i've rented i've left in better shape than when i got there. my one time when i was renting a whole house to myself i had someone come in once a month and vaccuum and dust for me. that was a pure luxury but my other excuse was that i didn't own a vacccuum. :)

My anxiety is I want be be ready to move and be stress free about it. The move into this place was a disaster
You are dreaming. There is no such thing!
If you want to be stress free about moving, the only way to do that is make up your mind that you aren't going to let things get to you. Mind over matter. Worry with it all you can, change what you can, then give it to God and get on with life.

When I mean stress free, I mean end of chaos. There was no overall plan. We had the movers booked a month in advance and were still tossing stuff into random totes the night before. Some stuff got broken or so hopelessly lost we bought a replacement instead of finding the original

My middle name is Grace. It should have been Chaos and Confusion. For all my planning and organizing, it always turns a shade of brown.........
