Thanks ya'll. Aunt is suppose to be moving to my property a little closer to where I live now. Still 90 miles away but I can make it there in about an hour and 15 minutes. Its all interstate and I my guardian angel seems to be able to fly as fast as I drive. LOL
Plus my daughter and grandbaby are living there in the house so at least they will be close to her. She will stay with my daughter until the trailer is set back up and we have all the utilities run. The only problem is she refuses to leave until her trailer does. She has a house in a little town further south of where she is now but there is not a soul close by and the house has been setting up empty for almost 2 years. Since she never learned to drive she is totally dependent upon somone else taking her everywhere she needs to go.
The problem right now is that all the movers seem to be booked up this week after all the months of rain. No one can get to her until next week and the rain is suppose to start again Tuesday.
MP - I would have to go through an act of congress to get a trailer here. The county won't let anyone bring a mobile home into an area zoned as residential with out a release signed by all the neighbors agreeing to it plus then you have to go before the supervisors and prove hardship. Which takes months and then still no guarantees. But because I am already having trouble with one of the neighbors I know they won't sign the release. And that will stop the whole thing as it has to be 100%
Oh and she hates dogs and cats and chickens, etc. She has major phobias. I call it Howard Hughes syndrom. Love her dearly but she is a strange duck. Hard for me to believe that she grew up chopping cotton, milking cows and swimming in the pasture pond.
But it will all be ok. I keep telling myself that.
Chicken update. I discovered today that I have between 6 and 10 chickens missing. I have not done a head count in ages. (when you have as many as I do its really hard to keep up with all of them). But after all the things that have been going on DH and I went to the big house to count heads. I only have 13 chickens in one section that I know had at least 18 plus I just realized today that one of my Silkie roosters is missing. So this weekend we will be doing a total head count and taking pictures of all the birds.
I hate this getting home after dark. But not much I can do until I have daylight and time. The best I could tell from my quick survey its all old hens that are missing.
