Went to the feed store today. Got a 1/4 pound of sweet corn seeds. It was red. Probably some chemical or something that will kill all biology in the garden for 20 years, but im gonna plant it anyway!
Got some Clemson spineless, national pickling cukes, honey dew, cantaloupe, carrots, and im not sure what else. Kinda get giddy when i see all those seeds.

Today we planted the cukes. A little early but i got plenty to replant if needed. Also planted the carrots. We are supposed to have a few days of rain coming. Im hoping to sow all the corn tomorrow.

Corn is planted. Im exhausted, must be getting a cold.
11 rows on 18 inch centers. 8 inch seed spacing. Seems pretty intensive but i think the soil can handle it. :fl

Yeah, your soil can handle it. I often plant 2 rows that are 12" apart, Each of these 2 rows is then separated by 18 - 24". Sometimes, I do 2 rows, then a row of potatoes, then 2 more rows of corn. Never less than 4 rows of corn in a single block.
