We moved to our farm this weekend! 28 acres of peaceful beauty! Well, mostly peaceful. They are installing fiber optic cable for something or other on our road, so that's been a little noisy.

We downsized into a trailer, and I have to say it's not too bad. It's very cozy. DH actually complimented me on making it very homey. An old guy lived here for a long time, and then after that a girl who apparently did not believe in cleaning. But with a good scrub-down, some paint over the wood-paneling, and some curtains, it's almost...cute! Anyway, I had to share some pictures:

I'd downsize to a trailer too if I had that much ground and a view like that! Actually, we have seriously thought about doing that as the taxes are so much lower.

Great place and we're all happy for you!

For 28 acres I could handle a downsize. I would just build a fort in the woods and put a big NO BOYS ALLOWED sign on the door :)

There is something wrong with your pond though....I don't see any ducks!!

Thanks guys! Now if it can just cool off a few degrees, I can get out and enjoy it! But the trailer actually has central air, which my old house did not, so it's not too bad hanging out inside.

@Wife: we DEFINITELY need some ducks!! Are there ones that would take care of themselves, where we wouldn't need to put them in at night. It's kind of a ways from the pond to the barn. I'd like something that will help keep the algae down, too. A pair of Canada geese stopped by to lay their eggs & it was neat to see them and their babies.
