@sumi Very cute you keeping them in a dog crate..
They were a complete impulse buy! I had to keep them in the dog crate for a little while while we sorted out the coop (and old garden shed) for them and got a run up. I was just going to look to see what they guy had for sale, but when he opened the shed, the Sussex came flying out, into my arms… What do you do?

You have a chicken living in your kitchen? LOL I would like to come to your garden tour in June, and you better stop one day when the weather is nicer.

We have no other place to keep them warm enough. These babies will replace my older crew. They eggs are not being sold to my egg customers as they are too small. When I have an overstock of these birds I sell them t the Pennsylvania Avicultural Society tailgate sale... There are two sales each year so I time my hatches for those events.

Here are some others coming up. They are Polish chickens. The smaller ones in the tank are Serama. The taller ones are more Polish. I weed out anything in my Serama once it is full grown. Then I sell anything that is over 7 inches tall... I don't want any that are 12 inches tall..

They are the cutest little chickens...not that I do anything with the eggs...LOL
